On the morning of June 24, 2024, Kinesi kutak “China Corner” of our school, as the organizer of the event project, together with the Belgrade Confucius Institute, held a dubbing promotion activity for young movie fans under the guidance of the organizer, the Chinese Cultural Center. More than 30 young Chinese fans in Serbia participated in the event. After learning the steps of how to dub movie clips, the children joined the actual combat team one after another. This event increased the fun of learning Chinese for children, and also indirectly promoted the enthusiasm of more Serbian teenagers to learn Chinese and Chinese culture. Sofija, a primary school student in our school’s Chinese class, stood out and was selected to go to China for further study and exchange.
In July 2024, the China Film Museum and the China Children and Teenagers Film Society awarded honorary certificates to Teacher Wang and Sofija. Teacher Wang was awarded the title of “Excellent Instructor” and student Sofija was awarded the title of “Future Star”. As a participant, our school has further promoted the promotion of Chinese film culture in Serbia and the in-depth exchange of humanities and arts between the two countries.
In December 2024, some teachers and students of our school’s Kinesi kutak “China Corner” created and filmed a short play on the Analects of Confucius, which was submitted as an entry to the 4th Confucian Classic Language Recitation Conference.
This event enabled more international friends to better understand China’s Confucian classics and traditional culture, and also gave our Serbian teachers and students a good opportunity to showcase themselves.
